About Me

The journey that led me to civil engineering, firefighting, and becoming the person I am today.

My interest in civil engineering began with an interest in architecture. Growing up, I was fascinated by buildings, infrastructure, and the process of turning ideas into something tangible. As I explored different careers within the construction industry, I discovered civil engineering and quickly realized it aligned more closely with my strengths and interests. While I appreciate the architectural marvels that shape our world, I found myself drawn to the mathematics, technical problem-solving, and practical challenges behind their design and construction rather than the artistic side of the profession.

Today, I am a junior studying Civil Engineering at Rutgers University and a Project Engineer Intern with J. Fletcher Creamer & Son. Through my internship, I have gained exposure to a wide range of water utility projects, from lead service line replacement programs and emergency water main repairs to routine maintenance and large-scale infrastructure upgrades. These experiences have shown me how engineering decisions directly impact the communities that rely on these systems every day and have strengthened my interest in infrastructure and construction.

In addition to my engineering studies, I serve as an Equipment Manager for Rutgers Football. This role has provided a unique behind-the-scenes perspective into the operations of a Division I athletic program. I travel with the team to home and away games, support equipment operations on the sidelines, and assist with daily practice activities. My assigned position group is the offensive line, which holds special significance because I played center in high school. Working alongside players, coaches, and support staff has given me firsthand experience in teamwork, logistics, organization, and the coordination required to operate a large, high-performance program.

Outside of engineering and athletics, I dedicate much of my time to the fire service as a volunteer firefighter. I joined the Palisades Park Fire Department at sixteen years old through a family friend and began as a Junior Firefighter alongside two lifelong friends. What started as an opportunity to serve my community quickly became one of the most rewarding parts of my life. Today, all three of us remain active members of the department, continuing to train, respond, and grow together.

One of the things I value most across engineering, athletics, and firefighting is the opportunity to continually learn and improve. Whether I am working on infrastructure projects, supporting a Division I football program, or responding to emergency calls, each experience challenges me to think critically, communicate effectively, and work as part of a team. As I continue my education and professional development, I remain open to exploring the many disciplines within civil engineering. My current interests lean toward construction and structural engineering, but I am excited to continue learning, gaining experience, and discovering where my career will ultimately lead.

Whether you're interested in engineering, football, firefighting, or simply want to connect, I'd be glad to hear from you.
